It launched in December 2000 as CJTS-FM with Christian programming on 97.1 FM, later moving to 98.1 FM as CKVN-FM. In 2014, Clear Sky Radio rebranded it as “98.1 The Bridge” with an alt-rock format. In December 2018, Vista Radio became the owner of the station, and in June 2019, it was renamed "98.1 2day FM". On February 2, 2024, it shifted to country and became “98.1 The Ranch,” featuring artists like Jake Owen and Dean Brody, with local content such as “Friday Night Country Roundup” and “Local Rodeo Spotlight.”
