About

KiSS 107.7 (CFRV-FM) is a commercial radio station in Lethbridge, Alberta, broadcasting on 107.7 FM. It was established in 1959 and is currently owned by Rogers Sports & Media. The station operates with a Hot Adult Contemporary (Hot AC) format, targeting listeners aged 25–54. Its 100,000-watt transmitter provides coverage across Southern Alberta.

Programming centers on the weekday morning show, Breakfast with Kierstyn & Cole, followed by an afternoon show hosted by Cara. The broadcast relies on a tight playlist of current pop tracks and hits from the 1990s and 2000s, including artists like Taylor Swift and Maroon 5.

As a Rogers property, the station operates under standard commercial radio models and complies with CRTC regulations. It competes in the local market by focusing on mass-appeal music and predictable scheduling, rather than niche or experimental content. Compared to local non-profit broadcasters like CKXU, KiSS 107.7 offers a more rigid, rotation-heavy output.

My Take

I’ve spent enough time listening to this station while driving around Lethbridge to see both its perks and its flaws. It’s a functional choice if you just want background noise that won't surprise you. The music loop is tight, which means you’ll hear the same tracks multiple times throughout a workday. If you’re looking for deep cuts or anything outside the top 40 bubble, you won't find it here. The presenters are competent, but the banter feels scripted and rarely adds much to the local conversation. It gets the job done as a utility station, but it’s often predictable to the point of being dull.
