About

Kingston's New Country 98.9 (CKLC-FM) is a radio station broadcasting from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and is owned by My Broadcasting Corporation.

The station originally launched in 1953 at 1380 AM under the call sign CKLC, a nod to Kingston’s nickname, "Limestone City." Over the years, it went through several format changes, including a shift to sports in 2001 as part of "The Team" network. In 2019, it rebranded as Pure Country 99, adopting a country music format. Following its sale to My Broadcasting Corporation in February 2024, the station relaunched as Kingston's New Country 98.9 on March 24, 2025, continuing to spotlight both Canadian and international country artists.

With its rich history and fresh branding, it stays true to its roots, delivering a dynamic mix of country hits to local audiences.
