About

Sun FM (CHSU-FM) is a contemporary hit radio station broadcasting from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The station first hit the airwaves in 1995 as CKBL-FM, playing country music under the name 99.9 The Bullet. A few years later, it switched gears to a hot adult contemporary sound and became 99.9 Sun FM. Over time, it changed hands a few times — from Telemedia to Standard Broadcasting, then to Astral Media, and eventually Bell Media in 2013. In 2019, it took on the Virgin Radio brand, but in 2025, after joining Vista Radio, it proudly returned to its Sun FM roots with a fresh CHR/Top 40 vibe.

With its lively history and energetic playlist, 99.9 Sun FM keeps Kelowna tuned in, playing the songs people love and staying connected to the community.
