CBC Radio One Kelowna

CBC Radio One Kelowna (CBTK-FM), broadcasting on 88.9 FM, is the regional station for Kelowna, British Columbia, and is part of the CBC Radio One network. It was launched in 1987. The station specializes in news, entertainment and public affairs programming geared towards the local community and also includes national and international content. Each week, the station airs approximately 15 hours of locally produced programs covering regional issues and cultural events. One of its distinctive programs is Daybreak South, which features local stories, interviews and discussions relevant to southern British Columbia. Like other stations on the network, it emphasizes high-quality, predominantly Canadian content. Its programs not only inform residents, but also promote cultural exchange across the country.
