About

CHIN Radio 100.7 (CHIN-FM) is a multilingual Toronto station that celebrates cultural diversity by offering programming in dozens of languages. First launched in 1967 as a companion to CHIN 1540 AM, it quickly established its own schedule tailored to the city’s growing ethnic communities. Founded by Johnny Lombardi and James Ditson Service, the station was built on the idea that Toronto’s multicultural population deserved to hear content in their native tongues. Weekday broadcasts highlight Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and South Asian languages, while weekends feature Kurdish, Serbian, Slovenian, Caribbean, and more. Its mission goes beyond entertainment, aiming to connect communities, preserve traditions, and foster dialogue across cultures.

Today, CHIN Radio 100.7 continues to be a vital voice for Toronto’s multicultural spirit.
