Pure Country 106 (CICX-FM) is a radio station based in Orillia, Ontario, broadcasting at 105.9 FM as part of Bell Media’s nationwide Pure Country network. Originally launched in 1943 as CFPS on the AM dial in Nobel, the station transitioned to FM in 1993, adopting the call sign CICX-FM and embracing a country format. Bell Media later acquired the station through Larche Communications in 2007, and in May 2019 it was rebranded under the Pure Country name as part of a Canada-wide relaunch of Bell’s country stations. Today, the playlist blends modern country hits with timeless classics, appealing to fans across generations.
