About

Viva 102.9 Rimouski (CJOI-FM) is a French-language radio station based in Rimouski, Quebec, broadcasting on 102.9 FM.

Its roots trace back to May 21, 1978, when it began airing as CFLP on 1000 AM, originally known as "Radio Mille" and focused on talk programming. On October 22, 2000, the station moved to the FM band as CJOI-FM with a rock-oriented format called "Émotion Rock." In 2005, it joined the RockDétente network following a media asset swap between Corus Entertainment and Astral Media. It was later rebranded as Rouge FM in 2011. After regulatory approval in March 2025, the station was relaunched on April 22 under Arsenal Media’s Viva network.

With a fresh identity and a wide-ranging playlist that spans pop, R&B, top 40, and adult contemporary, Viva 102.9 continues to engage listeners while embracing its evolution.
