Owned by Vista Radio, it first went on air in 1972 as CKSP at 1450 AM, originally serving as a rebroadcaster for CKOK in Penticton. The station changed its call letters to CHOR in 1991. On May 18, 2021, it was rebranded as "Bounce 98.5" with an adult hits format during Bell Media's broad restructuring. After being sold to Vista Radio in February 2024, the station relaunched on April 14, 2025, under its current name, 98.5 Summit, embracing a classic hits format.
